It’s a 1986-1990 Toyota Soarer.

Ahh the Peugeot badge through me off. That would explain why it looks so Japanese

It’s a decolorized version of this. Similar to a Peugeot badge, but definitely not the same. Toyota and Nissan used special badges on some of their more upmarket models in Japan (the Skyline stylized S, for example).

Oh cool!I didn’t know about that one. Knew about the skyline s.

I think the Celica also used one at one point, and the Crown definitely does. Mechanically, these Soarers are identical to MK3 Supras. The generation of Soarer after these was the SC300/400.

It was a dragon. I believe it was blue on the Celica and red on the Supra.

I’m still learning about Toyotas myself. I’ve been a Honda guy for awhile, but I want some turbo straight 6 supercar-killing goodness, and, as the Pacific Coast Auto guys once said, “if you like working on your car, buy an RB. If you like driving your car, buy a JZ.” So Toyota it is.

I feel ya, I’m a Mazda guy and yeah those jz motors are bulletproof it seems. Add 1,000hp? No worries. Crazy

It isn’t quite that easy, but yeah, they can hold a lot of power with too much hassle. And they’re priced like it. (Actually it’s the transmissions as much as the engines.)

Yeah no of course much work and supporting mods required. Are prices on those going up these days? The early supras were always pretty affordable, but I haven’t looked in a while.

You can still get a 1JZ MK3 Supra for about $10,000 landed. The R (with the aero kit and LSD) is a little more expensive, or, if it’s the rare dark green, a lot more expensive.

Not too bad relatively. Ah forest green? I remember that color from gran turismo, interesting color choice, not a lot of people would have opted for, as I’m sure is why it’s rare.
